Research Interests

Dr. Ades's research activities have been in two areas of cell physiology. Most of the work by his laboratory focused on the regulation of production and maturation of mitochondrial proteins, particularly of enzymes involved in the synthesis of metalloporphyrins. More recently, his interests shifted to the biochemical mechanisms that regulate angiogenesis.
