Buy our New Post Processing eBook and Go in the Draw to Win an iMac, DSLR or Photoshop!
Two weeks ago today we launched the third eBook in our popular Photo Nuts eBook series – Photo Nuts and Post: a Guide to Post Processing. It has received some wonderful reviews since launch and we’re excited to see so many of our readers using it to improve their images.
Win a DSLR, iMac or Photoshop and iPad
Today I’m super excited to announce that anyone who buys our new Guide to Post Processing eBook during it’s launch will go in the draw to win one of three amazing prizes to help them improve their photography.
3 prizes? Why 3 prizes I hear you ask?
The reason is simple – dPS readers are all at different stages of learning and come with varied needs, gear and challenges. As a result – we’ve chosen 3 prizes that will hopefully meet a range of reader needs. The winner gets a choice of one of the following:
- a Canon 60D DSLR with 18-135mm lens – worth $1180 USD
- a 21.5 inch Apple iMac (2.5 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i5 with 500GB Hard Drive) – worth $1199 USD
- Adobe Photoshop CS5 and an iPad 2 – worth $1200 USD
So whether you need a new camera, computer or post processing software and iPad – we’ve got you covered.
The Competition
Anyone – anywhere in the world – who purchases a copy of our Photo Nuts and Post eBook before midnight on 21 February goes into the draw to win one of the iMac, DSLR, Photoshop/iPad prizes. This includes anyone who bought the eBook in the last two weeks. The price will also go back to its non discounted price on 21 February.
FAQs
Based on past competitions – I know there will be two questions asked again and again – so here’s the answers spelt out:
- what if I already purchased Photo Nuts and POST? – you’re in the draw and don’t need to do anything else
- is this open to all international readers – yes, everyone. We’ll ship the computer to you anywhere at our cost
So Here is the Deal in a Nutshell
Buy Photo Nuts and POST before 21 February and you get:
- 33% off the eBook – worth $29.99 but for a limited time just $19.99
- An Entry into the DSLR, iMac, Photoshopt/iPad giveaway
- Plus (and most importantly) you’ll come away from reading the eBook with some great knowledge and skills to help you improve your post production of images.

I follow DPS via RSS feed, but that ends right after I write this message. I used to like reading the articles, but they have become superficial and light on details. What’s more bothersome is this constant pitching of your grossly overpriced, weakly written e-books. I’ve had enough. It’s clear you’re no longer out to educate anyone and you’re only out to take as much money as you can from novices that don’t know better.

Just got it thanks! I’ve been using photoshop and lightroom for years now, but when people ask me questions I don’t know how to explain very well. This helps me explain myself more and gives me a tighter workflow process.
Thanks again.

I got a copy of it but I cant open the videos. It’s weird, so right after I bought it, I ask for a refund but after seeing this, I changed my mind. I will get back to that video page and start learning additional concepts.

I’m having an issue with purchasing multiple books at one time, I know they are ebooks and I’m not paying shipping, but I would prefer to have one purchase on my credit card to follow. I can get the Nuts to Bolts combo package and the the 2nd Photo Nuts, but as soon as I go back to snag this 3rd book my cart is empty again.
It’s very frustrating as I keep having to search the pages out again…is their a SHOP to go to purchase easier???

Hi Rob – we’re sorry that you feel that way. dPS has provided free daily photography tips since April 2006. We attempt to keep our content useful and relevant to readers (mainly beginners to intermediate photographers) to help them grow in their understanding of photography. We do release a small number of eBooks per year (5-6) to help keep the free aspects of this site funded.
We partner with knowledgeable photographers to author our eBooks and spend months creating them (this one has been in production with our author, an editor, a proofreader, a designer and our production team for 8 or so months). Since our first eBooks this process has grown longer as we’ve learned more about creating these kinds of publications – and we hope the quality has grown too.
I understand not everyone is in a position to buy our eBooks and we certainly try to avoid pushing the on people – however in order to keep the site and our business running we do need to create them. Our desire is to education and help people grow in their understanding of photography – but we do also need to pay our bills (we have a staff and all have families) and hope that our business can turn a profit too (as all businesses hope to do).
I do appreciate your feedback – we’ll certainly give it real consideration in the mix of responses we have from readers (which as you’d expect with a site this size will always have a mix of negative and positive feedback).
Thanks Rob-L – all the best with your photography. Hope we can reconnect some time.

jkar – we had some early issues with the videos but have since re-encoded them and also given the option for you to download them rather than just view them on the site. Hope its fixed the issue for you.
